Last week I shot a beautiful piece of jewelery for the artist Jan Hinchliffe McCutcheon of Platform Arts, Middlesbrough. This piece was commissioned by one of the biggest jewelery collectors in the world. The differing types of metal, finishes and shapes made for an enjoyably challenging lighting job. An incredible object... a pleasure to photograph!

Last weekend I went to the Venice Biennale, one of the best art exhibitons in the world, held every other year in Venice. My favourite piece in all of the exhibitions was this work (above) by Jean-Luc Mylayne, it was visually amazing and beautifully presented.
Coming a very close second place, in my humble opinion, was the work of Taryn Simon (see below). This image of radioactive waste containers, taken from her series 'An American Index of the Hidden and Unfamiliar', was a stunning image.
