Barker & Stonehouse Shooting Saucy Interiors In-Store
Barker & Storehouse are very regular, great clients and recently we were asked to come into their Teesside Park flagship store.
As soon as you lay eyes on the building, you know it’s not just some ordinary furniture shop, inside is so classy and well designed, it makes for a great location. We were shooting the Timothy Oulton (an incredibly high-end designer) section of the store which was full of stunning furniture and objects to photograph. The images are to be used on their website as well as social media channels so with that in mind we gave them a bit of extra spice in the post-production process.
Take a look at some of the photographs below as well as a look behind the scenes, enjoy.

Vistech Shoot
Shooting for Vistech Services previously had been a great opportunity so we were delighted to be invited back to capture more photography for their new website.
The day started with loading up the Volvo with plenty of equipment, ready for the day of shooting, before driving down to the Vistech offices in sunny Middlesbrough. There we met with the models that would be posing as members of Vistech’s security team as part of the photoshoot. They all got suited and booted in Vistech uniforms and looked the professional standard to match the client’s company values. We snapped a few shots inside the offices before moving out to an industrial site. We also made our way around the Middlesbrough area for a few more varied locations and subsequently arrived back to the offices.

We finished the shoot with shots outside of the offices, showcasing more of Vistechs services like key holding, gate security and patrols.
Overall it was a successful shoot with great shots captured. Enjoy a further selection below.

Gibson Motorsport Shoot
Now this was a good one.
Gibson Motorsport are, as you can probably tell, a motorsport company. They are based in Stokesley and travel all over the UK and Europe to enter the cars, that they manufacture, into races. Now that is really quite exciting.

We were presented with the fantastic opportunity to shoot their GH20 which will be entering a race in March of this year. It really was a beautiful car to look at, whether it was fully assembled or not. You could tell a lot of passion went into the production of this machine. It was a real treat to be able to shoot this, even though at times it was quite challenging! A lot of thinking was required for this shoot, trying to get the lighting perfect to optimise the amount of form that could be seen in this car. It’s great to have quite challenging shoots to help grow as a photographer but it really did help that the car was what it was because there was a real drive (pardon the pun) there to get it right because of the phenomenal product.

Better were the design agency for the job and produced some gorgeous post-production work that fits perfectly with the photography and does a grand job of presenting this magnificent vehicle. It was great to work with Better again on such an exciting and creative project!
The shoot went as well as could ever have been hoped and we managed to get a lot of absolute crackers (of shots). Below, you will find just a small selection of said crackers which also include a look behind the scenes of this wonderful shoot.
Studio Product Shoot for Thermal Detection
Recently we had a shoot at our lovely Saltburn studio for even lovelier clients in Thermal Detection (based in Stockton). We received a brief from design agency VIA Creative who were creating a new brochure for Thermal Detection that needed brand spanking new, professional photography.
Thermal Detection are a company in the industrial sector that manufacture a huge amount of technical products such as: couplings, thermal wells and welding equipment. Given what industry the company are in and who their prospective clients are most likely to be, we shot the products in a style that would feel at home in the classy new brochure.
It was a great opportunity to shoot visually interesting products and to help out some great clients who were very happy with the end results.
Epic Transport Shoot
Recently we did some really interesting work for one of our regular clients PD Ports. We were shooting a K-Line ship (it was absolutely huge by the way) that was carrying the next generation of east coast mainline trains owned by Hitachi. It’s an incredible 11-storey’s tall and acts as a floating car park that can fit a whopping 7,500 cars (SEVEN AND A HALF THOUSAND)!
The ship arrived in Teesport mid-afternoon with the unloading process going well into the evening as the brilliant PD Ports team carried out, what seemed to be, a very difficult operation with incredible ease.
The shoot was very successful with some real quality pictures being captured, resulting in a very happy client. We always leap at the opportunity to shoot for PD Ports as they always provide amazing subjects and moments to capture. Lucky for us that they are regular clients!
A Photographic Odyssey, for Odyssey
What a journey it was, thanks to the wonderful people at Odyssey Systems.
As you might have gathered, we were part of a photography campaign recently that very much lived up to the name of our clients Odyssey Systems. They were conducting case studies into their clients to see how they used their services and how they benefited from them. As part of the campaign, we travelled all around the north-east to find some of their clients that have benefited from their excellent services. Odyssey’s clients cover a huge variety of professional services such as retail, medical, hospitality, manufacturing, education and much more.
The campaign was part of a big redesign of the company website, which was designed by the agency Better. We captured some great images that will now contribute to Odyssey’s new website and reflect their great range of clients to show how useful the services are.
Overall, it was a tremendously enjoyable and fulfilling project to be a part of which was made even better by the fantastic people we met and the very welcome opportunity to work with a superb client in Odyssey.
The most fun labware photoshoot ever!
Recently we were lucky enough to have a very exciting studio shoot come in from Cowie Technology. The client specialises in designing, manufacturing and producing PTFE (PolyTetraFluoroEthylene) products to supply a wide range of industries world-wide! Our brief was to capture a series of product category photographs in a simple yet creative style to best show how wonderfully designed and manufactured all of these products were. Overall it was an incredibly fun and interesting shoot with one particular highlight being the chance to shoot a spinning magnet which was captured at 1/4000th of a second, now that’s pretty swift!
Below are some images that were captured on the shoot as well as a look behind the scenes. It was a very successful shoot so all the shots looked pretty splendid, here is a selection of some great shots of some great products. Enjoy!
It’s not all doom and gloom!
With all the bad news about industrial sites closing down round here, I thought I’d share these images shot a few weeks back in sunny Middlesbrough, of a shiny new plant that turns waste to energy by way of anaerobic digestion. Its a brand new facility, using a process of the future, it’s not all doom and gloom in Teesside these days!

Barker & Stonehouse Product Shoot
A look behind the scenes of a recent advertising shoot for one of our regular clients Barker & Stonehouse, photographing their latest ranges of furniture for their website and brochures. There was lots of beautiful furniture (as usual) with some really lovely fabrics and colours, and some super reflective chrome and glass to keep us on our toes! A variety of different lighting setups and techniques were needed! We captured a cool black and white timelapse video and product photos of the shoot too – see below. Another successful shoot and another happy client 🙂
And here’s some behind the scenes shots as well as captured images. If you like the look of this then click here to see more of our product photography.

Getting messy with telecom teachers!
A recent shoot for long standing client Odyssey Telecoms who were off to a trade fair in the education sector, their agency Better came up with a great mini campaign for the event – we’ll leave the teaching to you, you leave the telecoms to us. As always a fun shoot with the characters at Odyssey!
